I have a folder on my mac that is filled with pictures. My problem is that the default icon for this folder is not very pretty.

There are many ways to customize your mac, but it's hard to find one-click solutions like changing the icon of a folder.

We've created an app called Mac Icon Changer which allows you to easily change the icon of any folder on your computer, including folders created by Apple software such as Mail or Finder. Our app lets you create custom icons for all sorts of purposes including work projects, hobbies and more!

1 - Locate the picture that you want to use for the folder icon.

2 - Double-click on the picture to open it in the Preview app.

3 - Press the “Command” and “A” keys to select the picture.

4 - Click on the “Edit” tab on the top menu bar.

5 - Choose “Copy” from the drop-down menu.

6 - Locate the folder that you want to customize.

7 - Right-click on the folder and choose “Get Info” from the drop-down menu. This will open a new window.

8 - Select the icon in the upper-left corner of the window.

9 - Go to the “Edit” tab on the menu bar.

10 - Choose “Paste.”

11 - Select the red traffic light in the upper-left corner to exit the window.
